Enable : Welcome

Enable - for support providers

Enable is a free service for public and private organisations, operating at national, regional or local level, which support schools and colleges in their use of ICT, focusing around the self-review framework.

Over 100 support providers are currently registered with Enable including local authorities, commercial companies, independent consultants and post-16 providers.

Enable members receive regular electronic information and have access to support information from Becta via the website.

A Support Providers Directory has been developed from details provided by Enable organisations. This directory is made available to schools and colleges to make them aware of the range of ICT support services available. The directory covers advice, training and support offered by Enable members to assist schools and colleges with their development and use of ICT. This may include guidance in the adoption of and progression through the self-review framework. Intended as a signposting service, the directory includes details of relevant accreditations.

If you are an ICT support provider and wish to register with Enable, first check that you agree with the conditions of registration, and then please proceed to the registration page.

Please note that being listed on the Support Providers Directory does not mean that a support provider is 'Becta approved'. Only those suppliers that have been awarded framework agreements or are part of our Internet Services Accreditation can style themselves as 'Becta approved'. Becta may take legal action against suppliers misrepresenting themselves ('passing off') as being approved by Becta.

Further details of Becta's framework agreements and accreditation scheme are available on Becta's Industry website, together with some frequently asked questions.
