Conditions of Registration

Enable is a free service to public and private organisations, operating at national, regional or local level, which support schools and colleges in their use of ICT, focusing around the self-review framework. Enable, builds on the strengths of a range of government initiatives, which are all working towards developing an e-mature system for education in the UK. Enable is developed around the structures and concepts of the self-review framework, which has been developed by Becta, with support from partner agencies, to assist schools in understanding and developing their ICT use. Enable works with support providers in support of the following phases of education: early years, primary and secondary schools, and post 16 institutions.

All Enable members commit to:

  • accepting and embracing the purposes of the service
  • working with others towards developing and improving the quality and availability of ICT support for schools and colleges
  • providing a quality service
  • providing clear and concise information on the Support Providers Directory which is a true representation of the service on offer
  • having a formal complaints procedure
  • helping to promote the Support Providers Directory as a resource for schools and colleges, and Enable as a service for support providers.
